Enhanced performance through process improvement

Goal:

Consistently applied, our overall concept allows identifying and reducing inefficiencies in total performance by 40%! By improving business processes in development, distribution, manufacturing, acquisition, logistics and administration, we routinely assist our clients in achieving at least 4% EBIT increase.

As-is-visualisation:

The overall outcome of the improvement process crucially depends on the quality of appraisal of current conditions, which we term “as-is visualisation”. This appraisal must be very precise in terms of recording and describing operations and data significant to operations. In order to achieve top quality appraisal, the employees who ultimately carry out operations need to be involved as much as possible – a process that can also be fun. The appraisal of current conditions is carried out by means of the event-oriented process visualisation method (according to Prof. Scheer). The workshops involve participants across all existing interfaces.

Our consultant or a trained company own process consultant assists the group in depicting current conditions as a flow of operations, using self-designed cards symbolising the various steps of the workflow. Simply by being involved in this manner – additionally supported by the technique of enquiry employed – participants come to identify disturbances of processes, begin to question weak spots and favoured working procedures and start pinpointing first improvements to be made.

Reflection:

In a next step, all improvements to the current process as it is are laid out. This results in organisational and technical as well as in short- and long-term improvements. A highly sophisticated level of reflection at the respective workshop is ensured by intensive involvement of employees, management and other experts. ChangePartner’s experienced consultants provide the additional input needed to carve out the desired ideal process by contributing our technical expertise and consistently applying our methodically substantiated mode of thought and organisational expertise.

Redesign:

In the end, two “to-be processes” can be expected: to-be process no. 1 can be expected to be realisable within a period of 3-6 months, to-be process no. 2 within 1 year. At this point in time, at the latest, potential utility – that is, at what point and to what extent the new process may be considered better – can be verified and inefficiencies reduced.

Qualification programme:

By attending our qualification programme to become a company own process consultant, your employees may acquire our entire know-how including all methods, instruments and tools. This affords our clients a cost-effective opportunity to immediately act on their own, even in the case of large organisations. After extensive market comparisons, numerous well-known companies have decided to take advantage of our programme for qualifying process consultants.
