Map of cooperation / cross-assessment
The best process chains will be of no use if people cannot work together effectively. We use our method of "cross-assessment" to make the quality of cooperation at the intersections between the various departments visible – and hence also modifiable.
-
In a first step, the individual departments are asked to evaluate the quality of their cooperation.
-
The results are published in-house. The resulting openness and transparency are among the most vital success factors for effective change management.
-
A powerful tool for organisational development emerges in subsequent dialogue workshops that are externally facilitated. A key factor for success here is the active involvement and regular participation of executives (top down) and employees (bottom up).
-
If needed, individual executives can (and should!) be given support through coaching.
We have described our experience with both instruments in detail in "Die 7 Irrtümer des Change-Managements" ("The Seven Change Management Fallacies") (Campus Publishers, 2009)
